Television Fashion: Glee

Like the celebrities in the music industry, actors and actresses promote aspects of the fashion industry too.
The hit American TV show Glee is about individuality and each character has their own style that expresses who they are. Rachel dresses sort of geeky and Tina's style is punky and gothic. Off screen the characters are more stylish and have even been featured in magazines like Teen Vogue a number of times.
I don't know if it's just me but ever since Brittany and Santana have changed into style icons. Maybe it was always going to be like that because cheerleaders tend to be the cool, popular ones with the good fashion sense but before they were only ever in the uniform with plain ponytails which did not look very cool or fashionable. However, in real life the actresses Naya Rivera and Heather Morris have gorgeous, shiny hair and a killer eye for style.

Glee stars have made lots of appearances inside magazines but last year Cory Monteith and Lea Michele shared the cover of Teen Vogue. At the beginning of the interview they were described as making "geek chic."
A "geek chic" look:

And a while before Glee's first cover, Dianna Agron who plays Quinn in Glee was featured in the Beauty and Health section of the magazine.

In the article she says how Glee have been flying to different places quite a lot lately and it has been playing havoc on her skin so she drinks lots of water to stay hydrated. Makeup wise she wears DiorShow mascara in purple, Burt's Bees hydrating lip balm because it is natural and healthy. She has been doing ballet since she was three and some of her style is influenced by that as she often wears her hair in a ballerina style high bun. She has a healthy vegetarian diet which she says keeps her alert and helps her deal with stress and fame.

In this April's issue of Teen Vogue Glee actors Harry Shum Jr. (Mike Chang), Darren Criss (Blaine Anderson), Chord Overstreet (Sam Evans) and Kevin McHale (Artie Abrams)reminisced about their prom experiences and took part in a prom themed photo shoot as well.
